The metal portions of the oil and coolant hoses for the turbo were retrieved today from a 1991 Dodge Shadow 2.5L Turbo. Brand new 300psi/300degree rubber hosing will be added to each of the metal lines to complete their journey.
The new wastegate has arrived
As recommended per the manufacturer, the last layer of high temp paint has been added a full 24 hours after the first layer cured
A small portion of the downpipe was retrieved from a 1991 Dodge Shadow 2.5L Turbo
As you can see from this photo, the exhaust after the turbocharger definitely will NOT be a restriction
I considered going with aftermarket gauges for the turbo installation, but after careful thought, I decided I wanted to stick with the "OEM look" The only gauge I could come up with that looked GM-ish was the one from the 1991 Dodge Shadow 2.5L Turbo. The needle is the same color as my existing gauges.
